I just received a curved layback license plate mount from J&P that I am itching to install. But... how the heck do you get the stock mount off. I see the 3 screws that I need to remove but how do you get to them? Do you have to bend the bracket? Also does anyone know off hand what size the nuts are on the inside of the fender?

Thanks!

You can use a wrench from underneath the fender. Just put pressure out on the bracket. Sometimes if there is no clearance you can remove the taillight assembly and get some room to work with. Or,worst case, just bend the bracket, i bet you it will never make it on another bike........

It helps a lot if you can jack the bike up. The tire will drop giving you more room to work with.
