Does anyone have any suggestions on Leather Chaps and Jackets. My old chaps and jackets are too small!! When I was like a size 5. I have went the swap meet here in California and they have these chaps for like $69.00 that they put on you and trim off the excess at the bottom. I don't know about those. They kind of look cheap not the quality I'm used to. Any advise?

I got mine from a swap meet from "The Leather Lady". I have received so many good comments about the way they look. They are USA made and they will hem and fit them for you. They are also very thick - very nicely made. Where do you live because she is at every swap meet that I have been to on the East.

Try these guys out... http://www.mmleatheronline.com I have been dealing with these people since the late 70's... My dad still trusts them, and the Leathers are thick, heavy and durable....
I live about 6 miles from M&M Leather in Greensburg, PA.......excellent quality leather at REAL nice prices. Decked out both my wife and myself when i picked up my Wide Glide last year (jackets, chaps, gloves, bandanas, etc.).

Thealien, my harley chaps were made in the good old USA!:p
How did those get in there ?? I still think in most cases you can get as good or better quality without paying for the HD logo. If thats what you want or like by all means its your choice not mine. I just have to put my .02 in.

Here here... I am with Mark on this one.... Harley leather is nice stuff, but it ain't all that... But I guarantee my leathers are better quality, heavier, thicker and for less than 1/2 the cost of putting the Bar and Shield on it... plus, I get repairs for popped threads, snaps and whatever else that has happenned to them for free up to 50% of what a non-customer gets it done for.. That is the benefit of buying your leathers from a place like M&M Leathers... When is the last time that you had your leathers repaired, or modified at the Stealership??? It ain't gonna happen but in those VERY RARE instances.... They just want to sell the name... Do the research.. There are some places that have much better leather for a lot less....

The problem with ladies jackets that I have looked at is they are mostly for looks and won't necessarily protect you that much if you crash. Of course, medicinewoman is in CA and probably doesn't need one as warm as I do. The one I just bought has a full liner....most don't. It has zippered vents, a spine protector, extra elbow and shoulder padding and long sleeves. Definately made for riding and not just show. Plus it comes with a five year warranty. It's not a harley jacket though...it's a FirstGear.

I've looked at the leathers at the Harley Shop very good quality but so darn expensive. There is another place called the handle bars that sells motorcycles equipment and helmets, etc. they have real quality leather products and not so expensive as the Harley Shop. I've absolutely vetoed the ones sold at the bike swap meet to cheap. I will check out the MM line sounds good. Thanks.

Post a pic and WE'LL decide whether they're too small
Yeah Dean - If I ever dig them out of storage, I'll put them on and post a picture - everyone can have a good laugh. :D

I'm actually saving them for my granddaughter Megan. There the old leathers that are made to last longer than me and will. Shi^ there over 30 years old:eek:

I have UNIK.. both the jacket and the chaps.. The jacket has the zip out liner. I bought them a year apart, at a bike show here in KC.. I'm happy with them.. they both are made of thick leather....
