So I’ve noticed some really cheap S&S and mikuni carbs on EBay. Well after looking closer they’re built in China and are knock offs. I know you get what you pay for but does anyone have any experience with these?
I’m asking because I found a basket case sportster for $1000 I was gonna builds rat bike for as cheap as possible and if I can get an S&S or mikuni for $60-$100 for a bike I will most likely blow up why not.

I had the ultima knock off of the S&S G carb and if you’re not worried about squeezing all the ponies out possible they will be fine. That being said you can usually find a used E carb for sale for 100-150 in good shape.

You can pick up a used CV that will give you far less trouble, for the same money.
