i have a 2005 dyna low rider planning a trip out west do i need to have the jetting changed for the higher altitudes i will be riding 5,000 to 10,000 feet altitudes.i live in michigan and the bike is carburetor.

No. If you were to move there..you would want to lean it out though. The CV carb with its slide that affectively alters venturi size and fuel delivery is taylor made for altitude changes on trips like yours. Besides...to re-jet would mean a change after you crossed the plains at the mountains...then a re-jet on the way home. I would suggest the standard CV tune up before you leave though if not already done. Certainly drill the mixture plug for access to the air bleed for the slow jet and adjust. Maybe shim the needle or do the sporty (27093-88).
