I'm new to this forum and figured I better do an intro.I 've been riding
about 34 years and in that time have owned six bikes.Three Hondas and three Harleys.I currently ride a 1991 Goldwing and do enjoy it.My
last Harley was a 1979 AMFer Dresser and it was a nightmare! I traded it
in on a Goldwing because I was so discusted with it.However,I realize
that Harley Motor Co has come a long way since the "AMF" days.
I'm tossing around the idea of a peace officers dresser so,maybe I'll
end up on a dresser again. At any rate, riding is the important thing
and that is what its all about.

Welcome to the forum, Masher51. I own a 2001 FLHTCUI Peace Officer Edition and I love it. I have no complaints after about 8000 miles.

Peace Officers Special

HarleyJoel:
Thanks for the reply & its good to hear your pleased with your bike. The
first time I seen a PO special it knocked me out.I like the two tone blue
paint job rather than the solid blue.
Last night I took my sons 2002 Road King for a spin and there is something different about riding a "HOG".I think I miss the sound of a
V-Twin thumping along.
Glad I found this forum

Masher51, I have the single tone "Nightwatch Blue" FLHTCUI. It isn't as recognizable as a P.O.E. as the two tone unless you see the badge on the CB/Intercom that states it as P.O.E. As for the V-twin thumping.... If you get one you may want to change out the stock exhaust as the thumping is relatively subtle.

Harley Sound

HarleyJoel
I've heard that the new Dressers are more quiet than before. My sons
Road King has Kirker Touring Pipes & they sound real good.
At any rate,I'm thinking hard about the POE and will post when I
make a move(I'm one of those people that have a hard time making
up my mind)

My problem is I wish I could own at least 3 or 4 bikes!!
