Had the Thunder Monsters off and tried the Quiet baffles in my Vance and Hines BS.
Went to install the T.M. and forgot which end goes into the pipe.
Is the washer gizmo towards the end of the pipe?????

thanks in advance

I have Vance and Hines Bigshot staggered duals on my 02 Fatboy with the Thunder Monsters. The directions that came with mine stated that I could instal them in either direction.

Retrax,
Seems like it DID make a difference on the relationship of the washers gizmo to the end of the pipe
Notice how the washer is offset ?

From this article, looks like it doesn't make a difference

I am hitting the road at 5AM tomorrow.
For now, its mounted with the baffle washer 7 inches from end of pipe

Still appreciate info on best location for sound -n- performance

I threw the directions away (but hey guys, I did READ them  ). From what I could remember, they said they could go in either way and recommended that you try both ways to see which setup you preferred (are they supposed to sound different, dunno). Anyway, I just put them in with the bolt type thing closest to the end of the exhaust pipe and left them that way. I really like the way they made my bike sound. Loud, but with a deep rumble.
