OK I can see Im going to be a regular in here. Nothing like learning the hard way! I promise not to burn something else up before sturgis!


I was wiring in a new taillight and burnt up the relay box that allows your rear turn signals to act as brake lights as well (this little box, mounts under the seat and connects between the stock turnsignals/brake wires... its got a male and female connector seperated by a small black relay box).....

My buddy told me that they are Harley only parts and I know that cant be true....Anyone know what this called so I can order another one. Ive looked online and through the few catalogs I have but cant locate one... Id prefer to NOT goto the dealer if at all possible....As always any 411 is greatly appreciated!

rion_72, there are different manufacturers that make these controllers. The one that I prefer is from Kuryakyn. It not only is an easy plug in type it combines Rear Run,Turn, and Brake funtions to your rear turn signals using your exsiting turn signal hardware. They are $39.00 from Kuryakyn listed under 'Rear Run-Turn-Brake Controllers' in the lighting catagory. Here is a link to that page:
