I want music and I need some storage space so its time to step up and I like the fixed fairing on the roadglide so that is what I plan to get,since I had my superglide at the dealer to get the rear fender replaced I asked them to tell me what they would give me for a trade in on a 09 roadglide and I did not like what they would give me for trade in. I just bought it in april and only put on about 2500 miles and they want me to take about a 4000 loss so no deal,i am going to try to find one from a private owner if possible and will consider a 07 or 08. It looks like it might be a couple years before I get a roadglide as I want to put more miles on the superglide before I take such a big loss. Jeff

Rented a RoadGlide in Vegas a couple years ago. After riding it for a couple days decided to get one as a second bike to haul the ole lady around on. Kept the Deluxe for myself.

I got a RG in 03 best long trip bike I rode, just put on the tunes, and cruise control and go.... :woohoo:

I use the Deuce for running around town and short trips, and use the sporty as a commuter bike to get to work and back.

I have a 95 Nostalgia and a 2000 CVO Roadglide. The roadglide is great for traveling. Handles really well and is comfortable. I use the Nostalgia just to ride around locally. It is a fun bike.

@gree:

Rode 11 states this summer and loved every mile on the Road Glide. I Ultra-ized mine with Tour Pak, Speakers, CB, Intercom, Zumo 550 and 80 watt radio amplifier. It's a KEEPER now! :clap:

I will also soon be in the market for a sharknose, but I plan to ride the Heritage one more year before getting it though. I plan to trade eliminate the truck payment so I can assume the RG payment.

Road Glides ROCK!! My bud has an '06 and absolutely loves it. A Road Glide is tempting for me...but my payments are almost done...
There ya go get that last payment done, then get a RG, and ya have two bikes.

There is nothing like a road glide, but if I were you I would buy an 06 or later. The new engine suck, when I traded my 06 for an 07 I was sorry, its cost me close to 6 grand to get that engine to run as good as the 06 did with a 95 kit on it.

The Road Glide is a great choice especially if you want the additional cruise, radio etc. I bought a 07 model and love it. I think the new models with the new chassis etc. would be the premier choice. I like the choice of adding the tour pak or sissy bar as removable since I do most riding without any adds. I did add the SE AIR, V&H Slip-ons, V&H Fuel Pak, IDS (Best BFB yet). The mods were done to aid with the heat or noise related to the six speed on the 07's. I really had no problems but the IDS helped a lot and made shifting etc. much smoother. For information you can find it in the April issue of American Iron. Of course, the 08 and newer models come from the factory with the new upgrades IDS, bigger tank, different cruise control, wider rear tire, etc.....
Now have over 8500 miles since March 07 the RG is sweet.
