First time posting to this forum, but I come back and lurk now and then.

Been a bike owner more or less continously since 1961, starting out overseas on Japanese bikes, then BSAs and Nortons after coming back here, then hot rod Suzukis back when going real fast was my highest priority. Done the road-racing thing at the club level, and drag racing on the street. Now I just like to put long miles on 'em, so I'm into the Touring models now.

Have always been more interested in the technical side of things than in the chrome and doodads part, but I can appreciate any bike that the owner cares about.

Personal bike is a 96 FLHRI, currently at 90 horsepower. I've owned it since near new. I did the work on it myself, including selecting the combination--since when I started on it there was no one around who knew much to give advice. I guess I qualify as "knowledgeable" on Evo EFI systems now... Lord knows I've spent enough money gaining what knowledge I do have. From time to time, I still wish there was a group or forum dedicated just to EFI bikes, so performance information could be spread around.

Wife's bike is a 2002 FLHPI, which she just got. She does like the doodads, so I spend a good deal of my time installing Iron Braid and conchos, and stuff like that--but that's okay. I'm just happy that she likes having her own bike.

Welcome!
It sounds like you could have a good deal to offer those of us that are learning now, the things you have done before. Hopefully we can return the favor once in a while.
