This anti-freeze jug is the BEST I have ever seen.
Having said that...I have always used the box the new filter comes in to catch and funnel the oil filter oil into the pan underneath. Most of the time I don't get a single drop on the floor...as long as I take my time.
You open the box up completely and tear off the closures and edges (they are perforated kinda) and then make a "channel" and slide it right underneath the filter as far as it will go. Unscrew the filter slowly and adjust accordingly as the oil starts to flow down the channel into the pan. Works GREAT. When done..just throw it away.
