51 years old, and can't see myself ever, ever "moving up" to a Big Twin. I could have afforded any Harley in the catalog, ended up with 2 Sportsters and a Buell. When you get to my age, you don't always want the newest, bestest, biggest, fanciest of items. You want what was out of reach when you were young, and a Harley-Davidson Sportster was definately out of reach to this teenager in 1970. I never, ever daydreamed of owning an Electra-Glide, and only occasionly of a Super Glide after it's 1971 introduction, it was always that instantly recognizeable profile of the Sportster that got my juices flowing. I have nothing against Softails, Dynas, Glides, Rods, etc., it is just that my eyes don't instanly acknowlege them, I often look right past them, yet there is not a Sportster that passes by I don't look at. Any event I go to, I head straight for the Sportsters, every time I visit the dealer, I look at the new/used Sportsters for several minutes every time. That's just me though.
I'm 63 and have a 1995 Sportster 1200 and a 2002 Super Glide (just a Sportster on steroids). I have considered a "bagger" from time to time, but I'm really not old enough yet. :D

LOL. I am 54 and I got an XL 883 last year. A 2005. Im about to get a Zipper' Torkster package on it and some goodies to put some spark in it. Maybe put a more desirable cam in it next year to keep the juice flowing. Im not sure where all this goes but I dont care. I just want to get out and ride and hear this machine between my legs ready to do my bidding.
Come 3-20-06 I will take another step up the ladder I will be 58:confused:

When I turned 50 I decided that I would start subtracting years instead of adding them. Therefore I'm now down to 44 years old. My goal is to make it back into my teens and enjoy again the feeling of indestructability and endless vigor before I croak...and I'll still be riding my Sporty
