I have an'03 dyna, stock engine except for a Magnacharger supercharger now putting out 100hp on the dyno. i'd like to go all out this winter by increasing bore, stroke, head work, cam, carb the whole bit. can anyone tell me how large a bore and stroke i can go to without seriously reducing the reliability of the motor.

124 with a 4-1/8" bore and a 4-5/8" stroke is a good way to go. We perfer it over the 4-1/4" x 4-3/8". We biuld them with the S&S, Axtell, or our pure ductile iron stuff.

Why do you prefer the more undersquare configuration? Is this an across the board preference or just for daily street motors?

We like the torque produced by that stroke and use it in the majority of our engines. Also leaving the bore a little smaller helps the stability of the cylinders.

Thanks for the response. Some of your extreme motors are very impressive works. Keep it up!
