How long will pipes last?

There's a thread in the FXR section about being able to find pipes, especially 2=1s, for our FXRs. They're being discontinued, one by one. My E-pipe is 4 years old and was discontinued before I even found mine.

So I got to wondering. How long will my pipes last? How about other brands?

If you ride alot and don'ty worry about the finish ,,,,,for a couple decades. The weak point might be disc so call and ask if they have any disc and endcaps . The pipe should last.Heat don't hurt it's sett'n that hurts. There are about 6 companies still building . Supertrapp will also build a ss system ,cost more ,always did .
