Why do you ask about a larger engine?
A 113" powerplant has the size to be VERY potent indeed.

Scott makes a very valid point, you can get north of 130 torque and horse with that 113 with the right stuff.

113

I have heard that most builders like to take the stock 113 jugs 5 over to straighten out the bore as this was a common problem. I have been researching the 113 as an option for my bike. They sure make big numbers.

Stage 5 heads

Those heads are $1,450.00, the cams are $290.00. The pistons usually require a little machining because the combustion chambers of the R&R heads are tighter than anything else out there. The kit with the 55mm HPI, pistons and cylinder work, cams, and ignition is $4,175.00.

We too have witnessed reports showing over 130 hp/torque on our 113" builds,(Harley castings) using a Wood 9B, tuned by an outfit in Mass.
A bike that marks those numbers is a potent piece, indeed.

.005 over is safe and standard practice to square them up.

If you are looking to leverage your existing HQ 103, your best bet would be to talk to Doug or Kevin and explain what you'd like to accomplish and listen to what the recommend. Doug has been doing this sh1t for well over 30yrs. He's not gonna BS, upsell, or mis-lead you.

Follow their recommendations and you'll be happy as a clam. If you think 113 isn't big enough, get the 120 (actaully 121.xxx) and be done with it. I can tell ya, first hand, that motor will flat GET-IT!

Soliciting cyber-opinions (mine included) will do nothing but add to your confusion.

So how much more would labor and tuning run with that kit??

Axtell bored mine ten over. Chaz thinks they can go a little more.
I couldn't get the hp into the 130's but the tq is there. 124hp/133tq. With HTCC CNC heads-20° squish by Axtell. Tune was done in 2.5 hrs, so maybe a little left.
