Got my Bobber project up on 2 wheels now. Early 50's wishbone frame newer DNA springer front end. When I turn the wheel to the left there is an internal knock at about 11:00. Then turning back to the right it happens again at about 1:00. No apparent movement at the bearing cups. Thought maybe there was too much load on the neck bearings so loosened them a bit. No change. Jacked the front end off the ground & this goes away. I know there has been discussion on the relative merits of the DNA springers, but, i'm mostly interested in what might be going on in the steering neck. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dennis Mc.

If the steering stem, fixed in the bottom yoke (lower "tree" I think you guys that side of the pond call them :)) is slightly bent that could also account for your issues.
