Hi, just saying Hi and a happy christmas from England:woohoo: , been riding for near on 30 years and most things from mopeds to superbikes , moto cross to tourers. mainly Jap but a few Italian and a lot of Brit Iron.
been watching the forum for a few months as around this time last year I picked up a '89 sportster that had been converted from a 883 to a 1200. the engine was blue printed around 10 years ago and still seems powerful!:brows: just had a service £450 and blew the clutch, half way home after repair £470 the gearbox expired!:badmood: ! now been rebuilt and running ok for now.

meanwhile the youngest is 14 yrs old and we bought a Honda 550 -4 chop last year for him to learn to rebuild. , well a year on , and the chop was swapped for a ZZR600, this in turn recently got p/xed for a '79 1000 XLH.

just going thru the nightmare of wiring as colours have been changed and a few wires cut.
anyways, have a good time and as Arnie said...':woohoo: Ill be back'

Chas -

Welcome to the board! Your 14 year old moves fast - and there's nothing like an XLH at a young age. Merry Christmas to you!
Wow, another VTF member just up the road from me. I pass though Chippenham from time to time. I will be glad when the nice weather returns!

Welcome!

I have a Fatboy, and it suits me just fine at 6'3". If he can wait until it warms up, I can pop round and let him have a sit on my bike.

Have fun.
Hi Frank, hope you had a good christmas?prty:
looks like 06 is going to be as bad as 05 for me :badmood:

Im actually in Chippenham Wiltshire not Cambridge but thanks for the offer anyway.
Hope it isn't too bad for ya. Sucks there is more than one Chippenham LOL.

Happy New Year.

well, apart from the two Harleys we have at the moment, Ive had a 79 Camero and an 86 Trans-Am with FULL electronic Dash until the boys got too big to sit in the back! (and the gas got too expensive $7 approx now and thats comming down!!)
Also we had a place in Kissimmee Fla until 9/11 which near wiped us out and havnt had a vacation since then. Before that it was like a second home to us I spent more time in Breakers yards there than I do here. also Dick Farmers in Orlando/Kissimmee and Bike Week'99 was our last.

Yes I still fill in my IRS forms every year
BTW.. just thru friends at work and people we have had working for us , there must be a dozen more Harley owners I could try to get here.
:welcome: to the forum. Lots of great info here. Post up often and enjoy.
