I have a 98 dyna with a pieced together evo. I bought a new oil pump and filter mount. My question is, do you put the feed line going to the outside line on the moun (center of the filter) or does it go to the inside of the mount (outter ring, smaller holes of the filter)? I have gotten different answers from different people and the shop manual is not real clear. Thanks for the help.

This is nuts, I had someone else tell me today that it was enter the center exits around the perimeter. He said the high pressure goes through the larger hole, that if it fed from the smaller ones, it might be starved of oil. Can we get an engineer?

I`m not an engineer, but I`ve been an F.A.A. licensed Aircraft and Powerplant mechanic since 1980.

Oil enters ALL oil filters from the outside perimeter, and exits through the center, Cars, Jets, Diesels, Lanwmowers...

Anybody that tells you different does not know what they are talking about.
