Hey whats up I am dealing with a charging problem on the stator if you take a meter one lead from the stator plug on the block the other lead to ground or block+you ring out continuity or .o2 ohms is this a for sure faulty stator when i check the out put at 1000 rpm +2000 it checks ok

Oh, and I forgot to add that this is on my 98' Heritage Springer.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Oh boy. It stinks something aweful. Well, this just confirms that my stator is bad. What harm can this do to my bike if I decide to charge the battery and ride it until I can fix it? Also, I bought a new regulator thinking this was the problem, do you think the stator burned it up too?

Thanks again.

I wouldn't ride it unless you leave the stator unplugged - even though there ought to be a fuse or fuse link blown anyway. If you're lucky, that fuse may have saved your regulator but don't hold your breath. You'll know when you get the new stator in :)
