As the title says.

Got a flat and I figured I'd pull the tire and patch it internally. It was a small nail... until I found the second nail about 4" away which was much bigger :nunu:

Damn it's expensive to get a tire on a Sunday!

Anyway, I'm putting it back together and H-D hasn't released the service manual for the bike yet (08 RG) so I'm lookin for the spec.

TIA

Found it... 60-65 ft lbs for the new larger axle.
Sorry, hands were too greasy to be pounding on the keyboard to do the search.

Where are you finding that Spec, I dont have 08 torque figures, but my 07 Ultra requires 105 lbs on the rear axle.

interesting... in this thread they discuss the torque for the old as 105 Ft lbs and the new as 65. I actually went a little higher based on how hard it was to get it off (with the tool in the tool kit). I don't think I would have been able to get that off at 15 Ft lbs with that skinny 8" long wrench.

I'll keep an eye on it until I get a manual.

I'd sure hate to have to pull a tire when on the road. It was had enough in the garage on my lift. I could have used another 6" of clearance off the floor!
