My rear pipe (Riders Left) came off yesterday. They are Bud True Dual headers. Same as the Rinehart setup. The Bolts losened and bottom fell off and top one close! Anyways got the pipe connected back to the cylinder with a modified wrench. God I need smaller hands!

Anyways there is a little L-bracket off the pipe (just below the cylinder bend and bend around the primary cover) that connects to a bracket just to the left of the Tranny cover. It's a simple approx. 1/2 inch bolt with a Nylon Lock nut.

How tight is this suppose to be?

In it's current state there was was a lot of play and I now know where the rattling I been chasing is coming from.

Should I leave any play in this or tighten to keep from rattling around?

Thanks!

....tighten completely, unfortunately I don't have the torque value. Loosen all connection points, tighten the headpipe, then work your way back

Thank you!

Everything back together. What a pain! Here in the northeast come Nov. 1 can't afford to have the bike out of service because you will miss a riding day!
