I'm new to forums and I'm glad I found this one....lots of great information. I've been riding for about 20 years now. Started riding at the age of 13 when my brother and I bought a 1974 Suzuki TS185. A couple years later I aquired a 1982 Kawasaki KL250 which has quite a history. It was used in the 1985 TV series Lady Blue. The bike was jumped off of the Marina Towers in Chicago. It then sat in my uncle's studio for about a year until it was given to me. After draining the water from the motor, freeing the rusted piston, and rebuilding the carb, it ran great. (I actually still have the bike since I can't seem to part with it) Anyways, I now ride a '05 Road King Classic. It's pretty much stock except for the Screamin' Eagle exhaust, flash download, and Air Cleaner. After reading some posts here, I'm thinking I need to find someone to port the heads and install a set of Andrews 26 gear drive Cams. The service manager at the local dealer keeps trying to sell me the 95' kit. But I think I'd just be better off doing the cams and heads first and leaving it an 88'.
