I have been riding nearly all my life my Mom and Dad had me riding between them at 6 months old. I got my first motorcycle at 9 a Honda mini trail. I moved up from there to racing moto cross and finally got into street bikes when I could get my license. My first one was a Yamaha and my Dad gave me alot of crap but I was young and dumb as they say. I inherited a '79 low Rider from my Dad and that was it no looking back. Then I joined the military and they have a mandatory helmet reg. So I stopped riding for along time. When I got overseas I couldn't pass up the pricing being offered by military auto sales so I sucked it up and bought a '01 FXST. I have been riding ever since and been all over England. Well thats about it hope to meet some of you some day but it will be quite awhile before I get back to the states. I'm not around my home that much do to job commitments but if there is anyone in England that is on this site maybe we will meet up some place. Thanks for reading my ramble.

Welcome to the forum, slowpoke! Are you still in the military? I am stationed in Germany. Active Army. I went through AAFES to get my bike. I won't get it here(ETS'ing home to become a PFC) My bike will be home before I will, though. You can't always get what you want, but you usually get what you need. Anyway, glad you found us. Post often and we'll see you around. J.T.

Yes I still have the shovel. I am from Iowa and that is where the bike is at with my brother who is also a co-ower. If you see it you wont forget it. The paint job says Harley Fucking Davidson colors are red and black. My Dad had it done like that and we just left it . Yes I do love that bike, even though I have pushed it a few miles. Thanks for the replies.
