Anyone using this kit in a fuel injected bike with 0039 gear drive cams and if so what hp and tq numbers are you getting? Any other comments on this kit would be appreciated. Thank you much. Peace and Prayers

I asked a VERY simular question last night. Snowman sent me a link to a web artical that really had great things to say about the 0039 cam. Just look down the posts a few and its there. The Hotbike web page said the setup was a winner. I have a set of keyed 0039's that I decided not to run but to instead have custom cams ground using the 0039 as a base pattern for. Just stretching the duration out slightly to a 242 instead of the 236 (want less noise) and shortening the exh duration slightly with less to a 252 and a .550 lift rather than the .580 the 0039's have. Its kind of hard to get feedback on the HQ 0039's, don't think many are running them but I will let you know as I will begin putting my 02 Ultra back together this week (waiting on cams) and my set up is very close to the Hotbike tech report setup they did....we will see.
headquaters kit

Appreciate the good info. I spoke with Doug today at headquaters and he told me the 0039 gear cams were a 600 lift. Doug also said i could expect 100+ hp and possibly 115 on tq. I would love that ride! Please keep me informed on your results. Thank you much
I was running the 0039G in my Lowrider. It is a 580 lift, not 600. Not sure why they would tell you 600. You can look at the dyno on my signature. Definately capable of throwing you off the back of the bike if you are not holding on.

I just checked the HQ website: 0039 .580 lift

0033, 0036, and 0038 cams are all .600 lift.

I will post my results. Fxdl raw.....sweet #'s
Thanks!! "Dyno" Mike over at Gails (Belton) did the dyno on the bike. My buddy Barry in El Dorado did the build for me. They used to call the bike the "Red Rocket". I do miss that bike at times.
Fxdl raw: I have been looking around the area (we are close to each other) for a dyno shop that actually knows what they are doing. You recomend any? Just not Topeka (they are the reason for my most recent fatboy build and they do not stand behind their work).
unfortunately "Dyno" Mike had a falling out with the ex (Gail) and no longer works at Gails. Not sure if you know John Golden from Rolling Thunder Dyno (Yes, the same famous guy at all the rallys). He lives down In Joplin and when he is not on the road works out of the Joplin area. If you are looking for someone to put the bike together, the guy that built my motor lives down in El Dorado and only charges $45 an hour for labor. He used to work at the Harley dealership in Wichita so he knows what he is doing. He opened a little shop next to his house and works about 3 hours a day out of it. He does not have a dyno though. Are you FI or carb?
My 03 fatboy is carb.....200 or so miles on it. Lots of good parts and need it dyno'd in next month or so.

My 02 Ultra is FI......build starting this week. In parts right now. I am doing some of it and Dean out of Junction City is doing the more complex stuff for me.

I don't mind traveling a ways to get a good dyno from someone who knows what they are doing and won't screw it up like Topeka HD.
I am running the 1550 Low Comp kit on a carb Deuce and love what it did for the bike. I have not dynoed the bike as one is not locally available but seat of the pants difference is huge. In addition my mechanic had only great things to say about the HQ stuff. Doug and staff are great with Customer Service and also questions after the install. If I ever build another engine I will be calling them.

The HQ kits are very high quality stuff and Doug has been around Harley high performance stuff forever. I just wish they weren't 3 or 4000 miles away from here. LOL.
