As some of you may know, I recently started sending out birthday greetings to all members if you entered a birthdate in your profile.

I received this email from a member's spouse today. Thought I would share this one with you all. Although this has been a few months ago, would have never known had it not been for the birthday greeting. Please be safe out there -dp-

Dear friends,
Thank you for thinking of David on his birthday. On a perfect riding day,
Feb. 17th, David was out driving his Harley and a woman who was driving her
car on the wrong side of the road hit David head on. He was killed in the
accident. His love for the motorcycle and riding lives on in my memories. I
think of him every time I see all of you out there riding. I miss him and
miss riding with him. God has completed him now and David is with Him in
Heaven. I am telling you all of this to say this, "Life is a gift from God,
don't waste one minute of it, treasure your time together with family and
friends, and remember what is important in life".

Enjoy the ride,
Teresa Wilson

I consider myself a fairly cold blooded SOB, but that got to me. Once again, it's not so much OUR driving, it's the other guy. Watch 'em. Mrs. Wilson, should you read these forums, please accept my condolences.
What's scary is that at any given moment, it could be one of us. You never know.
True.
Speaking for myself, if I HAVE to go, let it be on my bike.
