I have a question...I have a 99 883 Custom that I want to change the drag bars on....I want to put on the bars from an 883 Standard....while keeping the risers and stock cables and brake lines...will this setup work without changing ANY of the lines/cables??/...I was told by some that it would , others said I would need to change the cables..anyone done this?....any problems...if the cables don't need to be changed, it looks like an easy job...feedback from anyone who knows?

Hey HD, Ive been waiting on some feedback myself..looks as if we need to just get the wrenchs out and give her a try.

I have a Stait XL with the buck horn bars, I want to add 2" inches of riser, by going to the 4" riser VS the stock 2".

Ive been eye ballin it,,but its been to nice to start the job of changin them out..so opt to ride instead.

I always try to know what Im gettin into..before I start the job.

Looks as if there is enough clutch cable, throttle cable. I might have to route the cable from the inside of the forks to the outside..to make sure.
and maybe straighten out the brake line some.

And I hope there is enough slack to the tac, and speedo harness
I need to just go pull the tank and check it out.

So ..long storey short..just eyeball it out..if you dont get a reply soon.
seems as if someone has done this before.

I could use the feedback also. I have a 2003 1200C on order and I want to get rid of the drag bars. I need something so that I don't have to lean so far forward. I'm kind of leaning toward putting a standard set of 883 bars on it as I am hoping that all of the stock cables will work?
