Why wasn't the previous owner a real biker? FYI, the fish tails are coming off tomorrow. D & D Fatcat going on. I don't mind the fish tails but I'm planning for the future in regards to performance and engine upgrades.
Congrats to YOU!! To me the Road King is the best bike in the fleet. I'm on my third one at this time. It's a 2004 FLHPI. You can put that needle on 80 and ride all day if need be, like going to Sturgis.
My wife is so comfortable on mine that she will go to sleep and I know when as her helmet hits mine!
Sweet!!! After two Electra Glide Classics I finally got a Road King Classic, for me, best bike ever! Since the MoCo stopped selling Classics in this country for the 2014 model year, we'll soon have collector items
I just finished installing new 98” big bore kit and rebuilt and replaced every single component in this engine other then flywheel. New oil pump, cam plate, throttle body, exhaust, Trinny, clutch, compensator, I mean everything. I switched cams to the woods tw-8g cams. Gear drive. S&s pushrods...
I crashed my 2002 Road King a week ago, on Tuesday night. Insurance adjuster was here today to look at it, and while I don't have 100% solid $$ numbers yet, the bike is totaled. That said, it is also VERY fixable. So, I'm weighing options. Do I buy it back and fix it? Or do I take the money...
I've noticed that there's no thread specifically for us EG owners.
I've got a 2002 Firefighter's Special Ultra Classic. It's been lowered in the rear, baffles removed, stage 1 equipped, and air horns.
I live here in SW Florida and ride every day, weather permitting.:D
About 9 months ago I bought a wreaked 87 FLHTP for $1000.00. It was REALLY bent and broken but would spin with the starter, the wiring was trashed from the accident and that was the only thing that semi-worked. Anyhow I pounded out the dents and fixed the wiring while gathering the parts...
So I bought this beautiful new FLHTP expecting to float like a cloud but instead it rides like an ox cart.
Went and dropped the cash on those Progressive shocks, and it’s only a tiny bit better.
Anyone got any ideas for a shock to get a soft ride?
