I told all forum members that I would pass on the trial information
on the guy who killed two Blue Knights In Ohio.He was found
guilty of vehicular homicide and will spend a year in prison.(Maximum
allowed in Ohio).I know a year isn't that long,But, at least the dude
won't be out having a cold one for awhile and may even get a chance
to meet "Bubba" the jail house bull!

Sentences of a year or less are usually done in the county jail. If this prick got a year, he'll do six months max. THATS BS, imho.

Damn, some people get sentenced to life in prison for drugs yet vehicle homicide in Ohio gets you only 1 year max. Our laws really need to be restructered.

I think the whole motorcycle community needs to re-think their position. Instead of doing fund raisers for people who could care less for motorcyclists, motorcyclists should raise money to lobby for laws that say if you kill a motorcyclist you get some meaningful jail time, e.g., if you kill someone while driving a cage, its usually involuntary manslaughter (= 7 years in the cooker). Are motorcyclists second class citizens? NO F*CKING WAY.

Just learned that the dude who killed our two blue knights was
going between 75-80 mph and testimony from two Ohio Highway
Patrolman vertify that it was totally the fault of this 29 yr old
from an arab country.One of the widows is very upset with the light
sentance as well she should be.
I'm still a bit in shock over this whole mess ! (Please overlook my spelling
errors today)

Masher, I think the fact of the mans race is a non issue. I would not care if his underware was Red White and Blue, the fact is his gross negligence and careless disreagaurd for human life resulted in the untimely death of these men. That makes the guy a murderer for the guys are no less dead than had he shot them.

If memory serves me right, at least as I remember growing up, a Felony is not treated as such under the law unless it results in a State or Federal Prision sentence.

If that be true, his crime cannot be used later as a specific prior which carrys a specific minimum consecutive sentence to the second conviction.

but ,I agree that his national origin is not an issue because A-Holes
come in all shapes sizes,& colors.Its just a stinkin shame these two
guys paid the ultimate price because of Mr.Buttholes Actions!
