Has anyone tried drilling the neck on a super glide and installing a grease fitting too save the labor of tearing it apart too grease the bearings. I was looking at a 06 fat boy it comes with a fitting.

Previous years of Dyna's had open holes in the fork neck to the rest of the frame. Unless these were closed up (easy to do if you drop the front end), you'd be filling the frame up with grease. I'm not sure if 06 was the 1st year they changed this though.

I think Dynas have a plug in the hole for the zerk fitting. You would remove the plug, install grease fitting, then remove it after greasing and put the plug back in.
