I feel like I bought the wrong bike. A little over 2 months ago, I bought a new Road King FLHRI. I put on a touring seat, the electronic cruise control, and changed the bars. Just turned 7500 miles, I'm riding about 800 miles a week, and haven't really driven my pickup much since the bike arrived.
When I was down at the dealer on saturday to pick up oil and a filter, they were surprised I had so many miles on the bike already. My salesman said I should test-drive an Ultra, and since I had nothing better to do, I took the bike out for an hour.
Now, I realize a radio would be nice. A little more wind protection from a full fairing would be nice. My knees didn't get pushed back with those lowers on. And boy, that seat was comfy.
Took a 200 mile ride today with my wife on the Roadking, and realized that it really would be nice to have all the Ultra stuff on longer trips, and the extra locking luggage space would be great.
I'll probably wait until winter to do anything, since I know I'll want to build up the motor on the next bike, and I don't want to be without a bike during the good weather this year.
Think this will pass, or should I just resign myself to getting an Ultra?
