Looking underneath the Dyna, there does not seem to be a flat area accross to put a jack stand. All my other bikes have center stands, so never had an issue. Is there some special tool used to raise the Dyna off the floor? I know people do it, just dont know how.
Also, is there a reasonable place to purchase some kind of Service Manual for the new baby?
Must be a pain having a newbe ask all these stupid questions.

Most people on here use a bike lift, get 'em from Sears for around a $100. As far as getting a manual you can try eBay but the best bet is get it from your local dealer.

The Sears lift will need blocking {a 2x4 and a couple of 1x4} to get the bike somewhat level on the lift. The 2x4 goes under the frame on the left side and the 1x4s go under the frame at the front, be careful not to pinch anything.
The last service I did with the Dyna up on two 2x6s, one under each tire and one 2x6 {plus a 1x4} under the sidestand. That got it up high enough to change the fluids.
