Twas a nice day to ride finally and my bike rebelled.

I rode just two weeks ago and didn't have a problem. Today, when I went to start the bike, fuel started pouring out the bowl drain line. I closed the petcock and it stopped of course. When I opened the petcock again, the fuel started pouring out again. I'm no carb man, but I was thinking the diaphram cracked or broke. Am I close?

I agree with Megaglide, the float just stuck a little. Next time just rap the side of the bowl a couple of times the a screw drive hand and it will go away. If it continues to do this a lot, replace the float seat pin.

OR...with the petcock closed, idle/run the ENGINE untill it quits. Then open the petcock, start the bike, after a few seconds close the petcock, run the ENGINE till it quits. Do that a couple of times. What it does is flush dirt/derbis from the float needle valve & seat.
