I recently bought my daughter a 2011 883 iron. It only had 1100 miles on it. My question is what is the best thing to put and run through the tank to clean the injectors? Thank you ahead of time
Nothing wrong with it, runs fine, I just didn't know if anyone ran any cleaner through there tank to keep them clean, and no way would I ever put seafoam in anything I own, thanksLucas or more or less any injector cleaner on the shelf.
Not sure why you would want to, top tier gas (most name brand premium) already has detergent in it.
What's the issue that makes you think injector cleaner is needed?
I don't know what brand of fuel you like to use, but you can check online and see if it meets the Top Tier spec. If it does, then nothing else is needed.Nothing wrong with it, runs fine, I just didn't know if anyone ran any cleaner through there tank to keep them clean, and no way would I ever put seafoam in anything I own, thanks
You asked. Been using it for years, no ill effects. I don't use it as stabilizer, alcohol breaks down certain rubbers and plastics. But as a quick clean, nothing works better.no way would I ever put seafoam in anything I own, thanks
Why not? How do you know the previous owner didn't?Nothing wrong with it, runs fine, I just didn't know if anyone ran any cleaner through there tank to keep them clean, and no way would I ever put seafoam in anything I own, thanks
Maybe they did, but doubt it with only 1100 miles on it, I have researched seafoam and the things I see I don't care for, didn't mean to upset anyone that does use it, if it works for you, then keep using it, I just prefer not to. I always run 93 octane in it, we don't have 91 around here so it is 93 for me. I will just leave it alone, and ride it from time to time, my daughter is only 14 and cant ride it yet so I will take it out for a ride to keep everything in working order, thanks for all the helpWhy not? How do you know the previous owner didn't?
Not sure you upset anybody. That statement just makes your original question a bit confusing.Maybe they did, but doubt it with only 1100 miles on it, I have researched seafoam and the things I see I don't care for, didn't mean to upset anyone that does use it, if it works for you, then keep using it, I just prefer not to. Are you related to any of the Frankenstein family out that way? Its alive, Its alive......%[email protected]Agree with running Chevron fuel. Just run a few tanks with 91 octane should clear things right up.

What would soak em in. Denatured alcohol work?Seafoam. Only thing I've ever used that actually works. If they're gummed up bad enough,(I Seafoam does nothing) they may need pulled and soaked.
Why would soak em. No run work? What would soak em in. Denatured alcohol work?
Bested I can do with two fingers and no eyes Should both injectors be replaced or can I replace one at a timeWhy would soak em. No run work?
PS: I don't talk like this but it seems so many folks do now days so this is an Xperiment.
Since you didn't give any information, symptoms or details about the issue, I'll give a generic answer to your questions, "Should both injectors be replaced or can I replace one at a time?" yes and yes. Good luck, It's going to be fun working on injectors with two fingers and no eyes. I bet riding a scooter is a bitch.Bested I can do with two fingers and no eyes Should both injectors be replaced or can I replace one at a time
I'm gonna have to use this on my wife. "Darling, you know the toy Electra Glide we got little Jimmy? Well, he wants a real one now. I'll take him on rides and keep it in good shape for when he gets old enough.....Maybe they did, but doubt it with only 1100 miles on it, I have researched seafoam and the things I see I don't care for, didn't mean to upset anyone that does use it, if it works for you, then keep using it, I just prefer not to.
