I am swapping Fuel tank on my 2003 Heritage. The new tank has two holes with threeads in bottom for Fuel injected Hook-up. Should I take one off original parts and put them on new tank? or buy a new stuff for the new one? Do I need some sort of stop leak for threads? Anyone done this and have advice? I will listen.

A MM tank Vs a ? Fuel injected Heritage

I bought a different tank with custom paint to put on my 2003 fi heritage. But the new tank has two threaded holes on bottom and mine has 1 ? Can this be made to work? What is best solution? Or is it a big time hassle? Advice Please I need to know before I tear into this project.

Check with Pingel and see if they have the hardware you need to make your FI line work and to plug the extra hole.

This is not a problem, your FI fitting fits in the rearmost hole, go to a machine shop and have them make you a plug with an O ring for the other hole. I had this done six months ago, shop charged me $20 for the plug. I just bought a new Harley radical set, it came with a two-hole tank and a plug. The plug may now be something that can be purchased thru HD, it was not available last year when I had on made though.
