New Guy - New Softail too

Howdy,

Come Friday I ride my new '03 Softail Standard back from Louisiana.

I've come back into biking as the mid-life crisis thing hit. Sucession of Suzukis, then a beautiful new red and black Victory in May. But somehow I still come back to riding my buddy's Fatboy. That's what puts the smile on my face.

Decided a few weeks ago why not go ahead and do it.. So I found the standard, a bike I can grow with over the next few years. Gonna love it.

You selected a very good bike to grow with; one suggestion if you haven't you really should consider the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. It's an outstanding course if you haven't been into bike for a while. I was away for 10 years and I was surprised at what all I learned and new habits that were better than my old ones and even some new skills. If you are a National HOG member you can also get a $50 rebate towards the cost of the course. They give you $50 in HOG bucks, good towards accessories and parts at any Dealer.
