Yeah, I bought my Dyna in November 2001. In February or March of 2002, H-D sent me a letter informing me that my warranty would be extended because of my off-season purchase.
Free Warranty Extension On Winter Month Bikes
I posted a question on this a while back and never found the true answer until today. I purchased my 06 Electra Glide on Nov 3rd of 05. Factory warranty is 2 years. Since the bike was purchased in November, Harley Warranty goes through March, 31st of 2008. About 5 months of free warranty time. Check the home page of www.harleydavidson.com If you have any questions on your bike, have your dealer run your VIN in the Harley system and it will show your warranty start and end. I have my printout and it shows Start date 11-3-05. Warranty end date, 3-31-08. Pretty neat deal for those of us with new bikes sitting in the garage waiting for the snow to melt. Hope this helps ! Not sure what months/bikes apply, so check your dealer.

Bought my Fatboy in January '05, but never received such info from HD. Doesn't really matter though. I caught the fever bad and there's very little left on the bike that's stock.
