Just a note to see if anyone else has noticed this.
2002 Deuce (6000 miles). Today I decided to hit the front brake
harder than normal while I was traveling down a lonely road. At about
45 miles an hour, I used the front brake to fully compress the front forks.
At near bottom compression I heard and felt a large clunk as if the forks were binding. Upon releasing the brake the forks decompressed and I heard and felt another clunk. I did this several times and got the same result each time. Not a nice feeling. As a side note, the hard brake usage must have allowed more brake fluid into the line because the brake lever doesn't pull as far as it use to before the front brakes are solidly engaged.
What da ya think?
