i was wondering if any of you have had any experience with the alvin high temp lab-metal. i wanted to mold my frame before powdercoating and wanted to know any pros & cons of doing so. adhesion is my biggest scare, as i don't want to have everything done and a month or two or three have the stuff start coming off or breaking off. also i seen that the high temp stuff has to be heat cured after a 24 hour dry time. i don't have an oven that big! the regular lab metal is only good up to 350 F and i think when curing the powdercoating this may come into question.

if i'm not mistaken they use a Devcon hi-temp putty that has a lot of aluminum in it. I think it can be had at Graingers. Sort of like JB Weld.
