I'm using 83 flt fork tubes for my custom project and am needing sliders. Can anyone tell me what years of flt sliders will fit my tubes and what other sliders will interchange, I want to use dual disc. THANKS TC

Most of them will work, but to make sure you need to check part#s, there are some freaks and then they started to change axle diameters and brakes in 00.

There is more to it then just the tubes, depends what other parts you intend to use.
From where I sit it would make more sense to buy the fork legs as an assembly. You are buying the legs and presumably you will use new bushings, seals, etc. The tubes cost little and it's not worth betting the outcome of a custom project on 20 year old tubes unless they have not been used much.

Thanks Hippo, the fork tubes I have are new and never used, the only reason I got just them was my local cycle shop bought them and never used them so they were too good of a price to pass on.
