Just received my Fix My Hog DVD for Sportsters that was just released.
I was only able to watch 30 minuets of the 3 hour double DVD, but definitely like what I have seen.
Great quality and easy to understand.

I also just received my copy. This is my first motorcycle and I knew absolutely nothing about maintenance. I can say that I definitely learned things by watching this DVD that otherwise I would have never learned. I am not one to actually do my own services, because I would rather just take it to the dealer and let them do it; however, I still believe it's important and good to know your way around the bike. I give the DVD two thumbs up.

How specific is this DVD for model years. Is it up to date for 2005 XLC?

Yes, it covers 1986-Present.

Most of the procedures appear to be on a '06.
The second DVD shows procedures for pre '04.
They do mention numerous times to use year specific shop manual.
This DVD and a proper shop manual will help many wrench their own Sportster.
I know it will for me.
