As a teenager I raced motorcross for years. Now that I am older (wiser ?) I am building my first street bike. I purchased an original 1949 fl. Complete exept no engine and tranny. I am currently exploring the options of engines to fit this rigid frame. Any ideas on this Panhead conundrum would be helpful. This is my first HD and want to do it right. I live in Houston. Send me an email if you have any suggestions. Would like to be ridding by summer.

Welcome to the forum Gronny, I would suggest you go here and order their catalogs. They have some great parts for restoration projects. The latest catalog that I received, they had complete panhead engines for sale. Oh BTW, the catalog is free.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Peace
