I think I've done the math correctly on figuring out the final compression I'll end up with, but would like some backup. Hippo, you told me you were building some like this.

Doing basicly just like SBC's Scottsman Hop Up's. Stock jugs bored to 95", HD Cast Flattop pistons (zero deck height), Cometic .030 gaskets, headwork which will give me 82cc chambers.

I thinking this will net a 9.7:1 for compression ratio.

Sound right?

Cylinder swept volume is 773 cc (X2=1546) and not 775 (X2=1550) with standard bore.

Thanks Hippo - you are a wealth of info. I'm not really looking for a specific ratio, just in the 9.6 - 9.7 range. You know why I'm being double sure this time! LOL
