I made a statement somewhere that an absolute filter does not exist.
I was wrong, kinda.
A true absolute filter that no particles get through does not exist in any size our bikes can carry. That is what I was thinking.
I was working on a work issue toay and realized that what I missed was the real use of Absolute.
A 20 micron absolute filter lets no particle larger than 20 through.
A 5 micron absolute lets nothing larger than 5 through.
That is very true.
The key is, you MUST know the micron rating for it to be valid.
I still prefer Beta ratings myself, but I'll take what I can get.
