I finally found a fender I'm happy with, it's the Roller fender that used to be made by Jesse James. I'm starting a long process of collecting parts for the winter project.

The new fender is rounded from tip to tail where as the stock has a flat spot under the seat where the ECM mounts. I know there's nowhere else to mount the ECM so what are my mounting options? Do I try to create a flat spot on my new fender or maybe cut a hole and weld a shallow mounting box?

On the new fender I want to mimic the HD seat mount & keep using the thumbscrew. Is it just a nut welded to the bottom of the fender or is it something I need to plan ahead for?

Any other tips for a guy biting off more than he can chew??#[email protected]

you can make a cut out and use the box from the stock fender as far as the seat mount goes its just a hole with a small nut that is captured by a clip on the fender harley sells them as wall as most of the aftermarket
