Here's some lite, less filling stuff for everyone.

If you had to pick one song to best explain the lifestyle,or a song that sticks in your mind when you throw your leg over the saddle, which would you choose?

My choice hands
down would be "Midnight Rider" by the Allman Brothers.

I promise no snickers, guffaws,or chortles will be forthcoming from this forum member!

This is a hard one! The first song to come to mind is "Motley Crue's", "Girls, Girls, Girls". While in the Navy I made it my goal to hit everyone one of the stip clubs mentioned in that song, "BTW, The Dollhouse" in Fort Lauderdale is still one of my favorites....

But, if it had to be one song and it were to imcompose everything on the bike, it would have to be..... (Drum Roll Please)....

Lately, when I'm riding hard, I'll get "Vortex" by Megedeth going through my head. Sometimes I think my sub-conscious is fuggen with me 'cause I get sh!t like "Goin' Down" by Godsmack or "Life/Birth/Blood/Doom" by BLS between my ears. I try not to sing out loud though 'cause you tend to get bugs in your mouth

Tough to limit it to one. I have always loved 'Turn the Page' from a personal experience in Utah (my father is a driver).

But, considering what I ride, I think 'I Can't Drive 55' fits best. When it comes to tunes to listen to, I prefer to stick with either Rush, or Little Feat. 'Representing the Mombo' will suck me in every time:D

Stevie Ray Vaughn, "Pride and Joy". Same tune for the kids. Van Morrison's "Moondance" and "Brown-Eyed Girl" when around my wife.

"Texas Flood" when stuck at work ... ;-)

the ultimate ! Roll me away by Bob Seger

Took a look down a westbound road, right away
I made my choice
Headed out to my big two-wheeler, I was tired of my own voice
Took a bead on the northern plains and just rolled that power on
Twelve hours out of Mackinaw City stopped in a bar to have a brew
Met a girl and we had a few drinks and I told her what I'd decided to do
She looked out the window a long long moment then she looked into my eyes
She didn't have to say a thing, I knew what she was thinkin'

Roll, roll me away, won't you roll me away tonight
I too am lost, I feel double-crossed and I'm sick of what's wrong and what's right
We never even said a word, we just walked out and got on that bike
And we rolled
And we rolled clean out of sight

We rolled across the high plains
Deep into the mountalns
Felt so good to me
Finally feelin' free

Somewhere along a high road
The air began to turn cold
She said she missed her home
I headed on alone

Stood alone on a mountain top, starin' out at the Great Divide
I could go east, I could go west, it was all up to me to decide
Just then I saw a young hawk flyin' and my soul began to rise
And pretty soon
My heart was singin'

Roll, roll me away, I'm gonna roll me away tonight
Gotta keep rollin, gotta keep ridin', keep searchin'
till I find what's right
And as the sunset faded I spoke to the faintest first starlight
And I said next time
Next time
We'll get it right

Like many the choices are almost too numerous.
But for just plain travel music for the highway....A bit of ZZ-Top keeps me happyly humming down the road.
Master of Sparks, Nationwide or such and I just can't help but to thumb up the volume and the throttle on the eletra.

"Gypsey Blood" by a guy named Mason Rufner is a good one "Get me out there on that highway, Let the wind blow in my face, If I fall by the wayside, Somebody else can take my place" Running Like The Wind by the Marshal Tucker band is good too. Hell anything by MTB is good LOL!:D

Just heard that song "Girls, Girls, Girls" and forgot all about the "Motorcycle and a Switch Blade Knife" lyrics in it. A great song for cruising at night!
