Does anyone know for sure whether Fat Boy Wheels (2002) are clear-coated. I screwed min up with a cleaner and I think what I have is corrosion that I just need to polish out but I want to be sure.

I don't think they are coated myself. A rag with some Mother's on it turns black which i've heard means they are not coated.

Anyhow, no offense to anyone here, but this is not a poll about what you guess. I would really only be helped if someone actually knows the answer.

do not have clear coat on any of the machined surfaces."

Why doesn't HD throw on a clear coat?

Try some semichrome polish or the HD equivalent ( made by the same people ) then put some HD glaze on them. I have used other silicone "waxes" like Nufinish but the HD glaze seems to work better & longer.
