Exhaust for a Road King

I am looking for a good, deep, and loud exhaust for my Road King. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am looking at Bassani pipes. Is anyone running these pipes? Complaints? From what I read, they don't rob power. I am also interested in V&H pipes. Would slip-ons do the trick or is there a benefit to completely changing out the exhaust? I am going with a Stage I setup. It's a 2002 RoadKing, if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help. J.T.

Good stuff !

I have been running the V&H slip on's, slash cut, with a SE Stage 1.

(1) Performance increase noted

(2) Sound? Never to my likeing.

I pulled the baffels and removed the fiberglass. Sounded better and preformance was great.

Still lacked the sound I was looking for.

Purchesed a set of Sampson Slip On's. Better sound, ( louder and deeper) and I am told no loss of power.

Will not be able to comment on that until Friday when Baby comes home.

The Stage 1 conversion will take care of the chip.
