How potentionally harmful is it for an air cooled motor to be idling for long periods of time, especially in large gaggles like the Love ride? :corn:

After several love rides under my belt, I would advise taken a fun back road route and registering at the lake. The ride from Glendale is a goatfuk.

If you ride in the "organized" ride to the lake...you can count on a lot of idling. Probably not harmful unless you hear your bike detonating (pinging). What my friends & I do is park a few blocks away, below Glendale HD and walk up, register, check out the crowd & band, then leave BEFORE the clusterfuck. Solid 75 mph the (practically) whole way, good parking and short beer lines. All in all, a phenominal day; beautiful weather, nice riding, good friends, lotta pretty women and a few cold ones thrown in for good measure.
