I attended the Easyriders Bike Show in Charlotte, NC the other week. Was wondering if anyone else did and what did you think about it?

There were some awsome bikes there. Chuck Nass from Lake Norman V-Twin built a custom from start to finish during the show. They frowned on him cranking it up though.

There was ice and snow on the ground and blistery cold which prevented anyone from riding in. There appeared to be a great turnout, I figure everyone had Cabin Fever.

I went but I was not impressed. Bunch of billet barges. There were a few decent vendors. Only cool bike was the old western union bike. Blah everything else was WCC wanna be stuff. I had heard that there were going to be a few billy lane bikes, including the one with the hubless rear wheel. But I didn't see them. Been last 2 years..it kinda sucked the last 2 years. I think its only saving grace is that it is in Jan. in the snow.....

Next event for Charlotte should be the bike flea market next month at the Metrolina Fairgrounds..... [/B]
Any more information? Date, website. Is this a swap meet (motorcycle parts only) or a place to buy dew rags, t-shirts, helmet stickers, table cloths, curtins and HD dog collars. As you can tell, I'm tired of going to a so called swap meets and everyone has tables set up selling crap, and the so called swap meet is one person selling the stock pipes, mirrors and turn signals off his Softail.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thanks in advance.

Wanted to see the Edgar Winter Group but left before they came on. I got there about 2:00 started getting hungry around 5:00 and tired and they didn't come on until 8:00 so we booked. I saw them around 75' but don't remember much (I think it was the lifestyle I lived back then). The custom bikes do tend to run together after awhile though. There was soem creative airbrush work.

As Far as Metrolina it's March 23-24. It's a swap meet (motorcycle parts) and a place to buy dew rags, t-shirts, helmet stickers, table cloths, curtins and HD dog collars and etc. You can get some good deals there from the array of used parts dealers. A friend bought a new take-off RK Classic (with my OL's help) for 75 bucks and a like new solo Corbin for a Dyna-Glide for 60.00 bucks. Makes you wonder where all of those old parts come from. Tilley's H-D and H-D of Charlotte usually have soem take off's or special orders that never got picked up. Come on down and have a look. Ride your bike and park for free at the gate. $10.00 admission.
