I have 2002 FatBoy and I just noticed tonight that my rear turn signals are not lit like the front ones. Are the rear turn signal lights to be lit like the front? I guess that the the front ones are like running lights. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am A newbie to the Harley Family.

They are working as designed. They are turn signals only from the factory. You can get aftermarket kits that turn them into either running or brake lights or both. Harley makes a brake/turn kit (which I have on my Fat Boy) and Kuryakyn and somebody else makes a run/brake/turn kit.

And the rear amber lenses can be changed out for red ( it states for Deuce in JP catalog, but they are an exact replacement) and if you are mid level comfortable with electronics I will email you, if you want, a schematic I made to build a run/turn/brake light circuit. You have to change out the rear sockets to dual filament (easy) , the kits you buy commercially use original single fil. bulbs, but drop the V 12 to 6 for run lights. I was going to do this, but decided against it because that's a LOT of heat to dissipate dropping 6 volts with the amount of current those bulbs draw.
