Hello! I'm building a FXR hybrid with a 131 inch
Delkron 4 cam motor. When i was checking the cam timing i noticed that there was no oil holes in the gasket between the cam cover and the cam case. I thought the oil was feed through the cam cover to the case and lifters through the 4 holes in the case? I might be wrong. I don't have much experience with the 4 cam so all advices are much appreciated.
Thanks very much.

I would call an old Harley shop and ask them.. T and O maybe?
Dave Mackie?
Perhaps post your question elsewhere..
Hope you solve it

Gorgeous!

As you know the 4 cams is what HD should have done to the big twin.!
This would have eliminated a host of problems
They cut corners always.
(yes I know they did it correctly on the Sporster )
I will ask around and see if I can find your answer too to your question .
Is there any way to make a pointer at the lack of holes? (on the pic)

love that Swing Arm!

Thank's ! I made 4 holes in the gasket so the oil can pass thru. Delkron made a 4cam race case aswell and i am almost sure that case didn't hade any oil lines to the lifters. Maybe the engine builder intalled a race gasket on this street engine?

Ron just might have the answer!!
You will notice the really smart guys don't have time to hang out here....Which does not say much for me, LOL
Seriously you dont see the Baisley people
The S&S dudes,
T&O if they are around (Bonnie is long gone )
Axtelll, or any top-notch people
They just don't have time for the endless BS.
But most of them are very personable and I try to vacuum their brains when I get to talk to them..
Ron will be happy to help or send you in the right direction.

The tappets in the engine are hydraulic from S&S 33-5342 with adjustable pushrods. I will try to call him but my English is pretty bad (from Sweden) so he might not understand me.
Thanks

I got the email, and will FWD it to him when he gets up. He is one-time zone away.
As said- and not for sure, he thinks that case was built for solid lifters, but once he sees the pix he prolly will sort it out.
I will guess and just a guess, It should be able to drilled for hydraulics. (if that is needed)
I will email you when I talk to him and perhaps he will directly email you....but he is not much for all this new age communications, esp texting.
Being you are where you are Text dont ,atter.
